The Power To Overcome Through The Balanced Word Of God!

Path of Truth

I want to share an experience I had that I believe will help someone. Maybe it is you!

“I got up in the middle of the night. I would not turn the light on because of concern of disturbing the sleeper, my husband. I was stumbling around as I was trying to find my way around. I begin running into things I shouldn’t have; like the chair, dresser, the wall, the door, etc. Needless to say, I found out really quick that I should not have been walking in the dark without some type of light on! When I returned to bed, the Holy Spirit started speaking to me. He said, “There is a Lesson to be learned from what just happened! My children have been called out of darkness to live and walk in My marvelous Light! They are not children of the dark. I called them out of darkness into the marvelous Light. They are not to be stumbling around in the dark.” Just as it was with me walking in the dark that I could not stay going in the right direction, but rather stumbled into things; so is it with the Children of God. It is the same with others when they walk in darkness. They stumble. They run over and into things that they would not IF they were walking in the Light! The Light of truth of the Word of God that is applied to a life prevents them from stumbling. The Lord takes pleasure when we walk in truth! There is a path (of truth) laid out for us to walk and God’s light shines bright on that path so that we do not stumble down a path of the dark.”

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies’ [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9 AMP)

“For once you were darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [live as those who are native-born to the Light].” (Ephesians 5:8 AMP)

“Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”  (John 8:12 AMP)

“For with You is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water]; In Your light we see light.” (Psalm 36:9 AMP)

“Teach me Your way, O Lord, I will walk and live in Your truth; Direct my heart to fear Your name [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].” (Psalm 86:11 AMP)

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)

“All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and goodness and truth and faithfulness to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.” (Psalm 25:10 AMP)

“O Lord, who may lodge [as a guest] in Your tent? Who may dwell [continually] on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity and strength of character, and works righteousness, and speaks and holds truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; In his eyes an evil person is despised, but he honors those who fear the Lord [and obediently worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder]. He keeps his word even to his own disadvantage and does not change it [for his own benefit]; He does not put out his money at interest [to a fellow Israelite], and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.” (Psalms 15:1-5)

“If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].” (1 John 1:6-7 AMP)

Can others say this about you? I want them to be able to say it about me. “I, the elder, to Gaius, who is much loved by all and loved in truth by me. My beloved friend, I pray that everything is going well for you and that your body is as healthy as your soul is prosperous. I was thrilled when the brothers and sisters came and told me stories of your faithfulness as you continue to walk in the truth.” (3 John 1-3)
