The Faithful God
The Children of Israel had been in Egypt (bondage) for 400 years. (Exodus 13 & 14). When you get to think about that, it was a long time. They were under the oppressive control of Pharaoh. BUT GOD HAD THEIR BACK; although it appears He did not. He prepared a way of escape for them. He sent a deliverer named Moses who rescued them out from their captivity! Pharaoh was not happy with this deliverance because he had lost his source of slave labor. So he had the Egyptians pursue them! He summoned 600 chosen chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt and captains over every one of them to go after the Children of Israel! The Children of Israel begin to fear and grumble against God and Moses because they found themselves at a place where they did not want to be! They had mountains that stood on one side; the Red Sea in front of them; and their enemy (Pharaoh’s army) on their heels! Can you just imagine being there as one of the Israelites when this was taking place? Moses said to them, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. THE EGYPTIANS YOU SEE TODAY YOU WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN! The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:13-14, NIV) About the time it appeared they were going to be consumed by their enemy; Hallelujah – THE RESCURER opens up the Red Sea. GOD HAD THEIR BACK! Moses takes his rod (staff) and stretch out his hand over the sea and God divided it! The waters stood up in heap on both sides! The Israelites walked on dry ground and crossed the Red Sea! And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. Yet, once the Israelites got across, Moses again used his rod and the sea closed again; The Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea! God stood behind His word that He spoke through Moses “THE EGYPTIANS YOU SEE TODAY YOU WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN!” We serve that same True and Living God and He is as faithful now as He was then! If He says something, believe it! Expect it to be manifestation as He said! He delights in those who will trust Him to keep them! In Isaiah 43:2 (AMP) He said, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.” YOUR REDEEMER HAS YOUR BACK! You are the redeemed of the Lord and why not say so! “O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” I SAY SO! I AM THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD! How about you; do you say so?
